Downtown Dubai

Emaar places Downtown Dubai between Sheikh Zayed Road and Financial Centre Road. Business Bay is the neighbouring district to the south, and Emaar names Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard as one of the community's neighbourhoods.

An area guide and a route calculator put the drive to Dubai International Airport at roughly 18 to 32 minutes. The time depends heavily on traffic.

Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station on the Metro Red Line opened on 4 January 2010. Financial Centre is the previous station northbound and Business Bay is the next one southbound.

A walkway linking the station directly to The Dubai Mall opened on 26 December 2012. Emaar also offers bicycle and e-scooter rentals along the Boulevard.

No school inside Downtown Dubai is confirmed in our research. Two schools nearby are Safa British School in Al Safa 1, which follows the UK national curriculum from FS1 to Year 13, and Swiss International Scientific School Dubai in Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2, which is authorised to offer the IB continuum from age 3 to 18, according to each school's own pages.

The Dubai Mall opened on 4 November 2008 and houses the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, an Olympic-sized ice rink and a Reel Cinemas branch. Its own pages list Waitrose among the stores.

A pharmacy sits inside Mediclinic Dubai Mall, reached directly from the mall's Level 2 shopping floor.

The Dubai Mall's own dining page lists ANGELINA, Eataly, Nando's, Social House and The Cheesecake Factory among its top picks, along with the Blue Box cafe at Tiffany & Co.

Emaar describes Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard as lined with restaurants.

Burj Park sits next to Burj Khalifa. Emaar describes green spaces, jogging tracks and picnic areas, and Visit Dubai lists it with views of Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain.

Emaar also describes walkways with public art and green spaces dotted with lakes and fountains. The Dubai Water Canal begins in neighbouring Business Bay, with walkways and cycle paths along it.

Mediclinic Dubai Mall is located in The Dubai Mall. Its operator page lists outpatient consultation rooms, a day surgery unit, physiotherapy, a laboratory, and X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI and mammography imaging.

For inpatient care, Medcare Hospital sits opposite Safa Park Gate 1 in Al Safa. It is a 64-bed JCI accredited multi-specialty hospital with an emergency department that its page says runs round the clock.

Burj Khalifa stands 828 metres tall and opened on 4 January 2010. Burj Lake and The Dubai Fountain lie in front of it and The Dubai Mall.

Dubai Opera, in the Opera District, opened on 31 August 2016. Emaar names Address Downtown, Address Sky View, Address Dubai Mall, Palace Downtown, Vida and Armani Hotel Dubai among the hotels in the community.
