Jumeirah Beach Residence
Jumeirah Beach Residence, known as JBR, is a beachfront community next to Dubai Marina. It was developed by Dubai Properties and is made up of 35 residential towers arranged in six blocks: Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Murjan.
Homes here are apartments, from studios up to four bedrooms, along with penthouses. At street level, The Walk at JBR runs for 1.7 km along the beach, with restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies and clinics at ground and plaza level.

Location and access
JBR sits on the coast of Dubai, next to Dubai Marina. The official JBR site says it is located off Sheikh Zayed Road.
The beachfront runs for 1.7 km, and The Walk follows the same stretch at ground and plaza level.
Area guides put the drive to Dubai International Airport at about 30 minutes. It depends on traffic.
Tram stops, Metro and parking
The Dubai Tram has two stops named after the area: Jumeirah Beach Residence 1 and Jumeirah Beach Residence 2, also written JBR 1 and JBR 2. The official JBR site says to get off at either one for direct access to The Walk.
For the Metro, the official JBR site names DMCC and Sobha Realty Metro Station on the Red Line. Sobha Realty Metro Station was formerly Dubai Marina station, and DMCC was formerly Jumeirah Lakes Towers station.
The official site also lists taxis and ride-hailing apps. It lists three paid parking options: Murjan Parking, The Beach Parking and VIP Valet Parking.
Schools and nurseries near JBR
There are no schools inside JBR. Area guides name Regent International School, Dubai British School in Jumeirah Park and GEMS Wellington International School as schools near the community.
British Orchard Nursery is on the plaza level of Shams, per the official JBR directory. Area guides also name Toddler Town British Nursery within the community.

Supermarkets and pharmacies
The official JBR directory lists Carrefour Market in Rimal and Amwaj, Al Maya in Sadaf and Shams, All Day Market in Bahar and Spinneys on the Bahar plaza level.

The official JBR directory lists dining across the six blocks. Entries include 77 Asia in Sadaf, Allo Beirut and Baladi Meat Shop and Grill in Rimal, Back to Roots and Daves Hot Chicken in Bahar, Barbecue Delights in Amwaj and Cafe Torino in Sadaf. The directory has more venues than we list here.
The Beach has its own dining. Its official page lists Pavilion, a group of licensed restaurants, and Sea Breeze, which serves food and drinks with sunbeds and cabanas.
The Walk, JBR beach and things to do
JBR has direct beach access, according to area guides. The Walk at JBR is a 1.7 km promenade developed by Dubai Properties Group, and the official JBR site says the promenade is open to walk 24/7. Shops and restaurants keep their own hours.
The Beach is managed by Merex Investment Group, per its own page, and welcomes the public. It includes Roxy Cinemas.
On the plaza level of Bahar, the official JBR directory lists 3D Blacklight Mini Golf and Adventure Island, which offers laser tag and beam mazes.

Medcare Medical Centre is on the Sadaf plaza level, at The Walk. Aster Pharmacy and Express Clinic is in Rimal. The official JBR directory also lists Dentcare JBR Medical Center in Sadaf and Aries Dental and Aesthetic Clinic in Amwaj.
There is no hospital inside JBR. Area guides name Al Zahra Hospital as the hospital near the community.
JBR landmarks and Bluewaters Island
The Walk and The Beach are the two landmarks used to describe JBR. The six residential blocks also give the area its layout, and the official directory uses their names as location labels.
Bluewaters Island lies offshore and is joined to JBR by a pedestrian bridge. Ain Dubai stands on Bluewaters Island, next to JBR.
